This course covers sharp and interesting openings where Black aims to seize the initiative from the very first moves: the Scandinavian Defense (1. e4 d5), Alekhine’s Defense (1. e4 Nf6), and the Pirc-Ufimtsev Defense (1. e4 d6). Each of these openings contains many complex lines where White can easily go astray and fall into danger. However, Black must also play energetically to prevent White from gaining an advantage.
